2002
1st of May 2002: Hotel takeover, respectively breakup from Tauernhof-Barbarahof GmbH.
12th of June 2002: Start of kitchen building - completion at the beginning of July 2002
Autumn 2002: Establishment of the fireplace lounge and the relax-sitting area
2003
May 2003: Rebuildings on all floors, development of small suites, redesign of interior in the whole hotel.
Rebuilding of the SPA with brand new sauna area incl. steam bath, laconium and parlour sauna.
Autumn 2003: Rebuilding and redesign of the hotel drive, the parking ground and the garden.
2004
Spring 2004: Restaurant renovation.
Start of planning the new annex in 2005!
2005
4th of April 2005: Begin of 7 months construction time for the new annex and the complete renovation of the basement (brand new SPA area).
Finally there were made: 13 SUITES with noble and luxury living ambience, the wintergarden restaurant, the fireplace-lounge, the amazing American bar, the fitness room, the relaxing room, the massage room, the sauna area, the new laundry, adjustment to gas heating in the whole hotel, basement and ground floor connection between the main building and the annex.
New cladding of the main building - the Barbarahof is now light and white! Highspeed internet in all rooms/suites, WiFi internet in the public places is installed.
Security is very important! We constructed a high-tech Fire-Alarm-System and Fire prodection door in the whole hotel.
25th till the 27th of October 2005: American veterans (former generals and soldiers) are visiting our hotel for the 50th anniversary of the Austrian treaty. The winter garden is just finished in the afternoon, where they are celebrating in the evening.
11th of November 2005: Opening of the NEW ANNEX. A Dutch group from "Intersport" makes the hotel fully booked!
2006
Spring 2006: Fine overall revision works. Modernisation of the front office computers.
Autumn 2006: Extention of the tasting wine cellar
2007
Spring & Autumn 2007: Rebuilding of all bathrooms, toilets, windows and balconies in the main building.
August 2007: Agent's hotel inspection of the Chamber of Commerce Salzburg - Advice to 4-star-superior - after detailed and complex assessments and mystery-checks, advertising efforts, staff-checks and so on...
2008
Categorisation to 4-star SUPERIOR on the 27th of April 2008
May/June 2008: conformation of the Design-Suites "Hommage" on third floor.
September/October 2008: the amazing Superior-Suite is built.
2009
April 2009: Acquisition of the employee-house at Kellnerfeldstrasse.
May 2009: New banister in the main building.
Autumn 2009: High-Tech seminar room is built. Installation of the „Receptions-Assistent“ - further modernisation of computer technology and administration.
2010
Spring & Autumn 2010: Works on interior and design of the hotel.
2011 and 2012 up to date
Spring 2011: Both terraces are equipped with noble furniture and sunshades.
Autumn 2011: Modernisation and rebuilding of the reception and the hotel lobby. Brand new telephone system and WiFi internet in the whole hotel is installed. State of the art computer system for the front office computers.
Relaxing underwater lighting in the swimming pool and large flat-TV in the fitness room.
